Great Summer Crops:
Summer weather means it is time to plat our hot weather crops! Come learn the best ways to plant and grow your tomatoes, peppers, squash and beans. Learn which varieties perform well in the Pacific Northwest and hor to enhance their heat needs. On site in the Burien Community Garden hands on with a garden Garden Hotline educator from Seattle Tilth.

Fall and Winter Gardens Start Now:
Environmental concerns have reached an all time high, so the need for 'Green' and 'sustainable' classes have risen. Join us for different series each quarter, featuring topics on gardening, Green cleaning, and more. July hardly seems like time to plan for fall weather, but in the garden this is the perfect time to plant for fall and over-wintering crops. Learn which types of plants to set out that that will extend your harvest through the fall and which plants can live over the winter to ensure you an early spring harvest. Learn how to protect young seedlings from the summer sun and best watering practices. On site in the Burien Community Garden; hands on with a Garden Hotline educator from Seattle Tilth.
